Apparel is the highest-visibility branded category — a staff member wearing a logoed polo at an event is seen by hundreds of people per shift. That visibility cuts both ways: poorly-fitting, poorly-printed apparel gets hidden in a drawer; well-designed apparel gets worn repeatedly.

Fit and quality are non-negotiable. Modern fits (tailored polos, slim-cut tees) outperform boxy 2010-era cuts. Always order size-range samples before bulk committing — fit varies significantly between brands and mill sources. For staff uniforms, offer multiple fit options (men's, women's, relaxed-cut) to accommodate your team. Cotton-poly blends (65/35) balance comfort with wrinkle resistance and colour stability through industrial washing. 100% cotton feels premium but shrinks if washed hot; 100% polyester is durable but can feel plasticky — performance-fabric polyester (moisture-wicking, breathable) now matches cotton comfort for active wear.

Branding method drives cost and feel. Embroidery signals professionalism and lasts the garment's lifetime but has a one-time digitising setup ($50–120) and per-unit cost of $4–8. Best for polos, caps, jackets. Screen print is the volume workhorse for t-shirts at 50+ units — vivid, durable, $1–3 per colour per unit. Heat transfer handles one-offs and photographic images but wears after 30+ washes. Dye-sublimation prints full-colour into polyester fabric (doesn't sit on top) for sportswear and jerseys — only works on light-coloured polyester.

Lead times: 2–4 weeks stocked decorated locally, 6–12 weeks full custom (custom-fabricated with your colour or cut). Always order 2 weeks buffer beyond stated lead time for your event date to absorb reprints on any quality issues.
